Best of luck

to Josh McDaniels. I'd rather the Broncos hired a defensive minded coach, but I have no real problems with this pick.

There's not much more for me to say or do here. If anybody wants to contact me to discuss the Broncos or anything fireshanahan@gmail.com will still be up and I'll read it as often as I can.

I guess you will have a renamed web site soon. The Broncos just hired a younger version of Shany. firejosh.com will be back by 3rd week september 09!

I was pissed at first. I though, Jesus another offensive cordinator. Just what the 29th ranked D needs. But then I saw he hired Mike Nolan as his DC. Now im fired up for the season.

Did he hire Nolan as DC? In that case there is definitely hope here. With that said, I would have rather seen Frazier hired but I guess he was just the Rooney interview here.

OMG, I think you and I are on the same page. Why the heck did we hire a younger version of Shanahan? I think we said they needed a fresh start. This doesn't feel very fresh to me.

I'm just going to stop now before I get worked up. He may be the best coach of all time. I seriously doubt that, but you never know.

We've made a huge mistake.

I've really enjoyed your blog and hate to see you go. Why not just turn it into a Broncos blog? Along with you, I was thrilled to see Shanahan go. It was way over due. I too wanted Spags to be our coach but from what I've heard from Josh, he seems to be a solid guy. With Nolan on board I'm willing to give this a chance. No matter what happens our drafts just have to be better now that Mike is gone. Please keep writing but if not, thanks for getting me through some frustrating times!

It's been well over a month since Shanahan was fired and he's still unemployed. The Chiefs could've hired him, but they chose to go with Todd Haley instead. So much for the notion that Shanahan would end up with another team within a week of his firing. Maybe it's because the rest of the league knows what we have known for quite some time.
